Tabitha Haywood

Private Investigator

Tabitha began her career as a paralegal working on capital murder cases with a Houston area mitigation specialist.

She later moved on and began working for the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Innocence Project.

While at the Innocence Project, Tabitha supervised student interns, training them on the intake process and research methods regarding record requests and reviewing supporting documents.

Tabitha reviewed applications and made recommendations based on case facts and clinic specific guidelines.

Tabitha eventually began conducting interviews related to specific inmate cases to assist in the Appeal process, creating a reputation as someone who is very competent, thorough, and professional.

Tabitha became an Investigator with Gradoni & Associates in 2022 and works in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions.

Through her experience with assisting in criminal defense through mitigation work and her handling of actual innocence claims, she is able to conduct interviews with defendants, complainants, and witnesses that are advantageous to the attorney’s defense strategy.

Tabitha has been very instrumental in helping establish our intern program and training our future Investigators.
