HPD Suspends 264,000 Investigations, Cites Lack of Personnel

What does this problem mean for a company that has filed a report for a theft case?

It may take months before the case gets assigned to a detective.

Video evidence may be erased.

What does that mean for a company with a new case to file?

You may be placed at the bottom of the list because there are so many ahead of you.

In the past, the process for a company that has experienced a burglary or theft is to report the incident to the responding patrol unit. The officer then writes a report about the incident, which is then sent to the Houston Police Department’s Burglary and Theft division. At that point, the case is assigned to a detective who then conducts the investigation and attempts to identify the suspect and file charges.

It takes time and manpower to get the mission accomplished. Investigating a fresh case immediately raises percentages taking the case to a successful conclusion.

Solution: Gradoni & Associates

If you find yourself in this situation, we can help.

The Criminal Division staff in our firm has retired police detectives with over 125 years of collective experience. We can conduct the investigation that HPD would have if they had the manpower. We can interview witnesses, gather evidence, and even interview the suspects.

We have had great success in getting suspects to confess. We document our investigation in a format similar to the ones utilized by law enforcement agencies and present our findings to the detective assigned to the case.

Due to this problem, HPD has opened Burglary and Theft offices at each of the stations, which allows us to make more efficient contact with the agency.

The package we provide will enable HPD to file criminal charges against the individuals involved. The Detective can clear the case with us doing all the heavy lifting.

The upside is that the business owner gets closure on the matter, possibly gets recovery of the stolen items and in many cases, the thieves are identified and charged.

The only downside is, in order to get this resolved, you will have to pay for our services.

If you find yourself in this situation, give us a call and we can discuss how we can assist you in this matter.
