Surveillance Success Stories of 2019
About Our Undercover Surveillance Success Stories
The case reviews below are only a few of our 2019 success stories as private detectives specializing in surveillance.
The Midtown High Rise Case
Matt Skillern represented a father who was involved in a custody battle with his wife. One of the stipulations of the custody orders was that the biological mother could not have a male in her residence from the hours of 8:00 pm in the evening to 7:00 am in the morning.
The biological mother lived in a high rise in the Midtown area in a downstairs apartment, where the living area faced the main street and was visible, when the curtains were open, from the street.
Investigator Will Hodge was able to obtain video of the boyfriend in the living area after 8:00 pm in the evening. We were also able to identify the boyfriend’s vehicle in the parking garage and video tape him when he left for work in the morning, documenting the mother’s violation of the divorce orders.
The Cheating Spouse At Work Case
Our client was informed that her husband who operated a nail salon was having an affair with one of his employees. The husband regularly came home three or four hours after the salon closed.
Investigator Jonathan Companik followed the husband on numerous occasions when the nail salon closed, which enabled us to video tape the husband with a much younger female employee, going to dinner and bars and showing public affection. During the course of the surveillance, we also documented the husband spending time at the female’s apartment.
The client was devastated by the facts that we had developed in our detailed report, but was happy to know the truth about what was going on.
The Injured Claimant Case
Henry Buchanan Law Firm in Florida requested we surveil an injury claimant who resided in the Houston area. The claimant came to depositions utilizing a cane and giving the impression that she had a great deal of difficulty sitting, standing, and walking.
Kelli South surveilled this individual on eight different days, and documented her activity. She drove for long periods of time, shopping, loading grocery carts, picking up bags, and walking without the aid of any devices, showing that she had no physical difficulties on a daily basis.
The Case of the Overnight Visitor
Amy Montgomery represented a father who separated from his wife because his wife was having an affair with a co-worker. The couple had two small children that lived with the biological mother after the separation. The court ordered that the mother was not to have any male visitors in her residence between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am each day.
Investigator Jonathan Companik followed the mother from work on five different occasions. After she picked up her children from daycare, she drove directly to the boyfriend’s residence each and every time, and spent the night, in violation of the order. During the course of the surveillance, when the boyfriend wasn’t home upon her arrival, it was noted that she had a garage door opener which allowed her access to the boyfriend’s residence.
Another Injured Claimant Case
J Diamond and Associates represented the defendant who was being sued by a female who claimed a slip and fall injury that greatly inhibited her ability to walk and maintain current employment.
Investigator Kelli South conducted surveillance on this individual on three different occasions. The claimant was video taped shopping, walking her dog, and moving without any impairment whatsoever.
On one occasion the claimant was video taped carrying large packages from the trunk of her vehicle inside her residence without any difficulty.
Cheating Spouse Golf Trip
We were contacted by a concerned wife in Birmingham whose husband was allegedly coming to Houston to play in the Company Golf Tournament. The husband actually packed his golf clubs before leaving the house.
Investigator Jonathan Companik watched the husband depart Hobby Airport via Uber without golf clubs. The surveillance ended at a residential area where our cheating spouse met with a Realtor and another female, who was later identified as a co-worker.
The husband spent the day with the co-worker looking at houses to purchase. After a day of house hunting the couple retired to the Marriot Hotel where they spent the evening. Guess who had to do some explaining about his golf scores when he arrived home.
Drunk Daddy
Matt Skillern represented a mother who had custody of her two year old daughter. The biological father had a severe drinking problem, and was prevented from consuming alcoholic beverages 24 hours before having his supervised visitation with his child. The client informed us that the father routinely sat in his garage consuming large amounts of beer on a daily basis.
Investigator Jonathan Companik surveilled the dad on three different occasions prior to his next day visitation with the child. On each and every occasion the male sat in front of his garage, with the garage door open and a case of Coors Beer. He sat in a lawn chair and consumed beer for two to three hours while talking on his cellphone.
The video was so clear that we were even able to identify the Coors Beer can that was continuously in his hand After each drinking session, the dad would take all of his empty beer cans and walk out to the garbage can in the driveway to discard them.
RV Park; Second time
In 2018 Ruth Veneer represented a father whose former wife lived in a Trailer Park with her 9 year old daughter. There were explicit modifications in place that the child could not be around her mother’s two male step-children due to past sexual allegations. Nor could the child be around a male in the residence.
We had previously captured these violations on video tape in 2018, which were taken to the court. The mother was admonished by the Judge to discontinue the activity.
When it was apparent the activity had not been discontinued, we again conducted surveillance on the mother, Will Hodge found a new boyfriend spending the night in the RV trailer with the children in violation of the order. We were also able to document the juvenile child who was prohibited from being in the residence because he had been charged with Sexual Assaults around our client’s female daughter.
This time, after providing the video taped evidence to the court, the child was removed from the mother’s possession and the father was awarded full custody.
