Attorney Yalila “Lee” Guerrero represented an individual charged with Possession of Controlled Substance as a result of a traffic stop.

The Officer claimed when he ran the Plate of the vehicle prior to the traffic stop, it was not registered. After the vehicle was stopped and searched, the drugs were found.

Investigator Wellmaker Gets Involved

Investigator Carey Wellmaker was able to obtain the DPS Radio and MDT Transmissions and determined that the Officer had never run the Plate and had lied on the Report. The case was dismissed.

RESULT BASED ON INVESTIGATION: Possession w/Intent to Deliver: DISMISSED
