Houston based Attorney Skip Cornelius represented a Defendant charged with shooting his brother to death in front of his father and his girlfriend. The Defendant claimed it was self-defense, while the witnesses claimed the victim had already turned down the shotgun he had aimed at the Defendant.

Gradoni Detectives Investigate the Murder

During our investigation we were able to establish that the victim had been to prison for robbery, had a violent disposition and had a very bad relationship with the Defendant that progressed when family members started fighting over their father’s money.

The brothers’ history led some of the Jurors to believe that the victim could have actually been the aggressor. Even though the victim’s girlfriend claimed he was defenseless when shot, not everyone on the Jury bought the story.
